This was always a woman's song. The original lyrics, I mean. It's sung by a prostitute, not by some guy whose downfall was visiting one, contrary to what the Animals got everyone to believe.

@deenibeeni funny how our society see's the side of the man who ruined HIS life through his desire to visit brothels, but not the side of the poor women who HAD their lives ruined :/ same all through time even in Greek mythology where Medusa was punished for being raped by Poseidon. in John Lennon's words "women is the nigger of the world"
