I saw Beirut at Hyde Park last year and this particular song blew me away. Watching your video to this song brought a tear to my eye. I am a 32 plumber on a building site in south east London and if the boys knew anything about this I would be ripped to pieces. Well done for your achievement!

Thanks for sharing! I love stop motion. What technique did you use on the girl with the umbrella? Definitely my favorite part.

Thanks! That was probably the hardest part. The rest of the photos were randomly taken throughout a year or so (not for this song or anything, but totally fit). When I decided I wanted to put together a stop motion to this song I added two parts that I shot specifically for the song: the sunset and me holding the umbrella. I was hard doing the umbrella part because I was alone. I had to set the camera on a tripod, press the timer and pose over and over.

@jollypico I ran out of room to finish my response to you. I don't know if I answered your question, but after shooting the photos of myself with the umbrella I put them all into imovie and used some effect which split the photos in two to make it look sort of like two people. Thanks again for your comment!
