I'll clarify myself.

I've always held a ton of respect for those indigenous societies that affect an equal level of respect for drug consumption & the crucial role its plays in their spiritual & clinical lives.Infact my own fascination with drugs was driven by a desire to attain states of consciousness beyond our normal neurochemical limits;which are often forbidden by modern society.

My point,though,was that drugs that tend to sedate(like weed)too often quell dissident anger.

That may be true for close minded individuals that were already vegged out before their drug use. I am an advocate of marijuana use because it tends to open up minds rather than keep them closed. Weed is cool,but drug snobbery isn't.Indeed,I know plenty of heads that smoke weed that don't have a fuckin' clue.

The truth of the matter is--ALL drug consumption,including my favorite(alcohol),tends to assist both the state and corporate power in further entrenching their own authority by leaving the greater population of labor-class citizens too vegged-out to view their condition with any hostility.
