Ghost Moth - Male lekking to Attract Females

This is a male ghost moth. It like other species of "swift" moths, lekk to attract females. Males get together in a grassy area just when it begins to get dark and fly up and down to attract females and mate. Sometimes there can be lots of males in a small area. Males only lekk for about an hour, this is to lessen the chance of being eaten by a bat. Once they are finished lekking, the stop flying, drop to the ground and drop into vegetation to hide and sleep.
