The Belgians were true allies. The others just wanted the Russians to die for them. When the Germans were marching into France the French were screaming for the Russians to stop the Germans. However when the Russians were going through hard time the French spit on their allies and left them to die. In the treaty of Versailles Russia was left out. Many allied leaders celebrated when Tsar Nicholas II was forced to abdicate. God Bless Belgium for standing by Russia like true friends.

@SeregaCh Godful jews or Godless jews? all 'jews" are not the same. anyway, tsar nick was here to help establish God's work here on earth. of course then became a target of those with Godless and self- centered plans which usually bring destruction and have. it was a difficult environment for survival. and arrogant lenin did so much fancy double-talk. things got so misinterpreted and misrepresented.

Tsar Nicholas, his wife and his children should have lived. I think that Russia and the world would have been a better place had one of the Tsar children live. The notion that Anastasya and her younger brother, Alexei, surviving was a beautiful one and I truly wish it had been true.

Simply exquisite footage.
The First World War did away with the beauty and pageantry of the crowned heads of Europe. What a shame?
Thank God there are still some leftover vestiges of monarchy to give us a glimpse into that bygone world.

@ImperialRussianGuard Kerensky never threatened to kill anyone. He didn't have the balls. He never even got into power until after Nicholas had abdicated. Nicholas abdicated because his advisors and generals - like Brusilov - told him to. He had little choice but it had nothing to do with Kerensky.

@SeregaCh LOL!! Is that everything you know about the Russian Revolution?

Fantastic video. Wonderful film clips and well presented. Personally, I consider Alexei II to be the true last Tsar, but Nicholas II was a great Tsar nonetheless.
I wander what would have happened I Nicholas had just swallowed his pride and allowed democracy to flourish, would Russia be a very different place today and would the 20th century be a much more peaceful one

Nicholas II was forced to concede to some democratic reforms in 1905.This was very difficult for Nicholas II to do because he was a very educated man and knew that the democratic form of government was flawed. However he gave in. Between 1906 and 1913 there was a period of great economic prosperity of Russia, however democracy had absolutely nothing to do with it.On the contrary, Russia's great economic successes happened because Nicholas II chose to listen to men like Stolypin instead of the Duma
