I for one find the ironic juxtaposition between the art world and reality tv an artwork gag in itself worth keeping an eye on. Banksy would be brofisting Duchamp over this new development through a portal to Heaven he spraypainted on the ruins of the Berlin Wall. And Dali would probably tune in every week, I see it as less the decay of art and more the realising of a pretty decent reality tv/art world joke.

Remember that restauranteur who kicks Rene Ricard out of his restaurant because he insults Warhol and Bischofberger, and rips a Basquiat drawing out of his sketchbook? China is that restauranteur's daughter. You're spot on about rich celebrities giving their kids dumb names and all, but really, China is like, a big figure in the hip-bourgeoise fine art world.

You may not realize it now....but Art is highly important. The commentary that artists create through their work not only invokes thought from the greater society allowing people to open their eyes to problematic situations...but it also allows for a visual historical record to be built. Educate yourself

@pixieben Attention is exactly what a true artist needs to have his artwork known and be succesful! I see nothing wrong with this reality show. It would be an honor for any artist to be on this show.
