Honestly? Did you really suggest that we let untrained people(waiters?!?!?!?) treat medical issues? OUR country(not Canada..) has not approved a socialist system, we have approved something that might allow people who don't have any care at all to have care. A waiting list is better than not being treated at all, is it not???

I understand the context in which you use the word 'violence', but it's so far removed from the common use of the word that I think without some patience it would be easy to dismiss your constant references to violence to describe actions that are by and large passive to the normal eye as the ramblings of a delusional crank. I have a crazy idea. What if people paying insurance premiums got a discount for living a healthy lifestyle? Why not give people incentives to avoid chronic illnesses? Wouldn't that put a smaller burden on an overwhelmed system?

Also many states have "certificate of need" laws that prevent anyone from opening a surgery center or diagnotic center unless they have a buddy on the legislature that can get them approved. Of course now they have nationalized this terrible scheme which will result in even less capacity to take care of patients.

My understanding after talking to some doctors about it is that the AMA supported this bill because they receive most of their income from the government. 15% of their income comes from dues and 85% comes from fees charged to the U.S. taxpayer for their coding scheme that all doctors have to use for medicare/caid and insurance patients. They change the coding scheme slightly every few years so they can renew their patent and continue fleecing the taxpayers.
