@Danplaysdrums1 lmao nah, that's evander holyfield - when he had a 'fro - on keys

Watched him play this live at the coach house restaurant in San Juan Capistrano Ca. in the mid 80's just a great musical genus.

Wow, long jam session, but like my album, it skips at the end. Clark and keyboard player do an intense duet just after beginning of song.

Eh, no sooner had I written the below than I came across
'Old School' live Stanley Clarke and Friends-about 10 bassists putting their own slant on 'School Days', with Stanley kinda playing the host.. Which I like as much as this 1985 live concert.
on a completely different subject
'Someday we' ll be Together' Diana Ross and the Supremes xx a la lapin

This is my very favourite version of 'School Days'-and I have heard many !
Goes to show that a live performance can sometimes be better, have more feeling, more improvisation
put a different slant on -- than the studio version.
for me it gets interesting around 02.50. Brings me great JOY (love you, babes)

@gnsky, I met Stanley recently and you're right! Down to earth and very real!

Tight drummer. Serious.
Yo I met Stanley at the airport and he ws so cool -see I look like Robert Townsend-the actor/producer and Stanley had just done a movie soundtrack for him. Stanley was telling everybody that I was Robert Townsend-it was a lot of fun-so its like 4-5 years later and I am walking down Venice beach in LA and I hear hey G WHAT'S UP MAN!!? and lo and behold its Stanley Clarke and his wife. He remembered my real name and everything-I will never forget that-cool dude and a real person!!
