Also, I'm a big follower of Tony Benn. My personal beliefs are predominantly modelled on him. I'm certainly not advocating total abandonment of the political process. What people have to remember is there are more than two parties in the US. The current electoral system is deeply flawed, in that it always favours the two, pro-business parties, and automatically rigs the election in their favour. There has to be complete overhaul of the American electoral system for there to be true democracy.

Didn't Clinton's remark completely vindicate Chomsky, though? The America government have always treated neighbouring countries as if they had a God-given right to their resources. Take Cuba, Che travelled thousands of miles to rid Cuba of American stooges, who were backed by... the Republicans and Democrats. People like Clinton bully nations into doing what is best for America, as opposed to what's best for their own people.

Chomsky is very fond of saying that in the United States, we simply have two factions of the business party. However, it is important to note that there is a difference (albeit ever so slight on foreign policy) between the parties.

But, to refer to Mr. Benn, if we stay uninvolved in the political process, in light of the fact that only business interests are seriously represented in government, we will have only ourselves to blame.

chemicals alone WILL NOT MAKE NUCLEAR WEAPONS!!! are people fucking idiots. if you wanted to make a nuke you need to enrich the uranium 238 to 95% pure uranium 235 in order to get a super critical mass. you need machines to do this.iran could have all the uranium in the world, they need the proper equipment to even have a chance to make a weapon, also chernobyl wasn't safe because of human error and a different design from the united states reactor.
