http://www.macmixing.com - In this video I did an unboxing for the Fostex PM0.4n Professional Studio Monitors. These are great quality studio monitors for an awesome price. I am doing a sound test on them currently and the review will be available at http://www.macmixing.com

  • @macmixingaudio Yeah. Too many people say the same. I think many people just went with hype on them. Even guy in DJ shop recommended them which is strange. Today guy in music shop said the same. I personally like Yamaha's more visually (and size) but mostly I trust their brand and peoples recommendations. I prefer accuracy rather than colored bass. I do not mix on bass anyway. I'll go with Yamaha's. Thanks for your replies. I appreciate that.

  • @mikelo303 I personally cant stand krk's they are unrealistic. You think your song sounds nice and full but the mix doesn't translate at all. They are glorified in certain frequencies. Honestly if your going for small these monitors here translate the best for their size. but I'm a yamaha junkie and I love my hs-80's

  • @macmixingaudio I know but I am stretching myself at 300E already. It's definitively better to buy 80's rather than 50's and sub. My problem is I already bought monitors few years ago for about 400 and one died (8 inch). I have one left and I cannot buy second one (discontinued). Secondly I have enough of big speakers. I need something small, close to my head for mixing techno and electronica. Bass would be nice but I'm mixing mostly on mid and high tones and usually leave bass knob alone. KRK5?

  • @mikelo303 I would also check out the Yamaha HS-80's I have a pair of those and they ROCK. So smooth and transparent

  • @LiveLimitlessTv Yeah. I heard that. It's actually 450 Euro which is stupid. It's better to save more and get better speakers altogether. KRK 5 seems to be better choice (more bass) but less accurate. I will go to shop and test them both.

  • @mikelo303 I've been on a search for monitors and was going to buy the Yamahas also. lol but everyone has told me if you buy those you will need to get the HS10 subwoofer with it. Which is like 300 more. I dont have the money for that but if you do, get it. Ha just lettin you know.

  • If you had to choose between yours Yamaha's 50's ant these Fostex - Which one you'd prefer for home mixing? Pleas let me know as I am considering between them right now. Thanks!
