Larry Wessels, director of Christian Answers of Austin, Texas/ Christian Debater (YouTube channel: CANSWERSTV, websites: BIBLEQUERY.ORG, HISTORYCART.COM, & MUSLIMHOPE.COM) interviews former hardened criminal & prison inmate Ken Barber (director of Grace Outreach, Bay City, Texas, ken.goministries@gmail.com). Ken, now an evangelist, missionary & Bible instructor to inmates in the Texas Prison System, related his personal testimony of a life of depravity & wickedness which was abruptly turned around by a sovereign act of God's grace in part 1. This show examines more closely the Biblical perspective on how God can take even the vilest of men & change their lives by the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5 says, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration of the Holy Ghost." Preaching & teaching in the prison system is also examined.

Part 2 of 2.

Since this video was filmed Ken Barber has relocated to the country of Belize as a missionary. The following is from one of his reports, "Greetings, The ministry here is prospering by the hand of God. We have learned again that the Kingdom of God is like sowing seed in a field, and it is certain that there is seed time and harvest. We still must patiently wait. Often the clutter in the field must be removed, the soil tilled, and the seed sown. We are God's husbandry, that is, His cultivated field. In one place the Bible says that the seed sprouts of itself. You cannot dig it up and hurry it along. Even God Himself patiently awaits the harvest of the earth. Please pray for us that God will grant us the wisdom and the endurance to await His harvest.

The Church here in Roaring Creek that we are establishing has accepted me as their Pastor but I am anticipating the day that Ernesto Teul, one who is the fruit of our preaching, will be prepared to take that position at least in part and I can continue to do the work of an Evangelist through out the whole of Belize. We are in the planning stages to effect the prison ministry so that it is the ministry of Belizian work and not just "another American coming in to straighten everyone out and then flying out". God willing we will set it up as a ministry of the Church here in Belize.

We are your missionaries! Throughout all of Belize I know of no church that is finacially able to support a Pastor or Evangelist full time here in Belize. The economy here is very bad. Most workers make the equivilant of about 1.75 USD per hour and the prices are by comparrison highly inflated.

We are about to go again to attempt filing for our work permit. Please pray for God to give us favor in this or to show us what else we need to do, if anything. We will begin paying 850.00 per month to extend our visa's without the work permit. This will give us one year free of these fee's at which time we can apply for permenant residency.

There are some plans and discussion in regard to a Reformed Baptist partnership here in Belize. We have met with and will be meeting again on this regard. One area being looked at is Bible College or Seminary.
We need tracts, bibles and song books.

Other Ministries

Where we live is a rough area to say the least, but we have ministered to alot of those who go in and out of prison right here in our own neighborhood. Times are hard and for those trying to change it is difficult, but God is at work. Thanks for all of your faithfullness, your prayer and support. Please pray for this ministry! Ken, Mary and Family. Field Correspondence address:
Roaring Creek Village, Cayo District, Belize, Central America"
