  • What did you make the trough out of? I've been wanting to make one of these, but really didn't have the right idea of how to go about it. If a three year old can do it, then I know I can!!

  • The trough is a sheet of mirrorized plastic, 8 feet by 3 feet. The trough rests along a parabolic shaped groove that is created by plywood. The plastic also rests on the wooden struts.

  • Thumbs up if you like salt too! :)

    Nice job little man!!!

  • Cute!

  • Great visual and instructions. Your son is so cute! He is very verbal as well. It looks like you share and spend a lot of time with him.... wonderful! I don't have access to cad software. Could you give some tips as to how to accomplish this curve without this software? It looks like this could be the arc of a circle .... if this is true, what is the radius of the circle?

  • Está buenísimo, felicidades!

  • imagine the kid put his hand near the parabolic focus ! hahahaha

  • fantastic! and the solar cooker is great too!

  • What a great kid! This has to be the first time I've heard a 3yo use the word "parabolic!" Oh, yeah, cool grill too... super job!

  • We love you Isaiah! Good Job.

  • This puts the Global Sun Oven to shame!
