@FCO0710 sm57 isn't a ribbon, but it is cheap enough for guilt-free experimentation.

note* probably wouldn't be wise to try this on an actual high dollar ribbon mic!
I have done this with my sm57 though, quite fun!
For those of you who dont know you can also use headphones as a mic...just plug to the line in on your computer!
