Here im playing my song "Zyglrox" as it was the song that was most requested after "Totla Mad". This is a tough one and i still need to tighten up some parts (as you can see for yourself in the vid) but overall it was a good solid take, and this one along with "Totla Mad" will be on the Periphery album coming out this year, so keep an eye out for that!

If you want to hear the original please head to www.myspace.com/iambulb, and add me if you like what you hear! You can also hear more tunes at www.myspace.com/periphery and www.soundclick.com/bulb

In the video i am using my stock Ibanez RGA 121 into my Engl Invader 100 and Vader 4x12 in this clip. I was too lazy to set up the rack and pedalboard, so this is just the raw amp sound on Channel 3 (hi-gain on/bright off/noise gate on) with no pedals or effects.

Enjoy!

  • But seriously, wtf is in your pocket?

  • Is it just me or is anyone else notice how guitarists nowadays, such as shown here, seem to be capable of executing amazingly complex and innovative orchestrations, but fail to really hit the sweet notes when it comes to lead and melody, especially pleasant intonation with single note vibrato past the twelfth fret. It's like being an Olympic runner thats a clumst walker, or a swimmer that can't tread water..

  • @Greenwithevil I listened to both these songs in their entirety, I only found them to be marginally close to what I am referring. Sweet vibrato, especially while bending, is the weak point. Not entirely bad, like I said this was better. and he was definitely more intonated / in tune compared to other examples.

  • @TraFFic5BoroDRum

Sweet adjective, -er, -est, adverb, noun

    adjective

5.pleasing to the ear; making a delicate, pleasant, or agreeable sound; musical.

  • @whopperplate What are you talking about? This is metal there's nothing "sweet" about it.

  • @whopperplate Surely you're not talking about Bulb. Listen to songs like "Jetpacks was yes!" or "Press enter." He's all about hitting those sweet notes.

  • @Eleutherarch most of their 7 string stuff yeah

  • @JAB0NK0 Most of their stuff is in A Flat. Not all, but most.

  • @YoungPableezy I listened to that song in its entirety, but failed to hear what you mean. Sweet vibrato?

  • @ZeeGrego @ZeeGrego I agree "that intangible ability is just as impressive as that of guitarists who are masters of making their guitars "sing"..." but one should play to there strengths. Like David Gilmour: if you can't run then don't. He does what he does best and nothing more. Even if one is not technically proficient, if you do it with enough oomph, intent, energy, and confidence it can still work. You do not feel that with this player when he plays lead/solo IMO, unlike his riffs.

  • @HelpOrWhat well check again, in his guitar messenger lesson he says its AGCFAD

  • @JAB0NK0 No, it's definitely A flat, I've checked pretty many times now
