@23RegularBros see those earphones on them? they're called monitors, mainly for them to hear themselves but so they can hear the rest too. because the house(main) speakers are pointed out and you can't hear on the stage, so i'm guessing Kendall can't hear James clearly on his monitor and wants the stage crew to up the volume for him. it's pretty important. since Kendall has to sing the echo
