Microsoft did want Vista to be like 7. But investors got pissed, so they had to release it.

Microsoft always talks about Parental Controls like it is some breakthru innovation - there are about 1 parent in 100,000 that even knows this exists let alone know how to set it up and control what their teens do on their family computer.

I used to have Vista and it was the greatest OS ever made by Windows. I got mad once and hit my laptop right where the HDD was and a few days later, BAM! HDD failure. Crap. I wish i could get Vista back =/.
