cat and bird have dinner

my cockatiel Spikette shares food with my cat Willow as she's eating. Unfortunately Willow was killed by a dog whose owner had it on an extended leash and let it come in MY yard and mangle my kitty in his mouth as the owner stood by saying "stop,stop". Unfortuately Spikette has passed away too of natural causes . Very sad. She had 7 kitty friends and she had run of the house. All of which were strays. Why they all got along. I have no idea.

The owner has a right to defend his animal from attack, it's pathetic the guy just stood there saying "stop" than doing something about it. It's like he was afraid to touch his own dog!

@KrispyApplez it wasn't the dogs fault, it was the owners fault.for not keeping his dog in control..... i feel sorry for the dog having such a stupid owner. I miss my babies.

yes, she was, she was about 14 years old and was hard of hearing and didn't see so well. She was in her yard way away from the sidewalk. never heard or saw the dog coming. you could tell the dog was killing squirrels or something. freakin dumb owners.

I'm so sorry about the loss of both Willow & Spikette. It was a lovely video and I really enjoyed it.  If people can't control their animals then they should not take them out of their yard.

The story in your description is horrific. I can't even begin to imagine how you feel about it, just the thought makes me own blood boil. I know I shouldn't be making accusations, but it sounds like the owner did it delibrately. On your yard, dog was already on a leash, owner didn't actually pull the dog back. All sounds very suspicious to me.

STUPID people who doesnt know how to train/control their dogs should NEVER EVER keep one! My docile, sweet, perfectly trained pug was blinded by a v spoiled border collie (not on a leash), years ago. the collie picked up my pug and threw him against a wall. I wanted to punch the collie's owner face in...All she did was "no, no, bad boy", while my pug cried in terror and pain and went shaking under a car.
