  • this is my first bike, bought last week ...

You're fine with V-brakes. You'll probably need disc brakes only when using in extreem terrains. Mud, lots dirt, puddles, etc....

  • this is propaganda

  • It's a crappy bike. My little brother has the same model in black, and I'll tell you this: Trek does not make bikes like they used to. For a bike in the $500.00 range, the components are sub par. Shimano acera derailleur, and suntour suspension are crap, very low end. And the brakes suck, they could of at least put avid bb3's on it for that price. I remember buying a Gary Fisher back in 05 (which is owned by trek), and I payed $450 for the bike and it came with better components.

  • how are the brakes?

  • @cornholio851

tell that to my 4300 disc and my brother's 3900 disc...apparently they didn't get the memo.

  • @cornholio851

    not necessarily man

  • Where did you get the Tshirt you're wearing? I was trying to find it online but cant find it anywhere

  • nice bike. but i have what i want^^ :-D

  • you shouldnt buy any trek thats under a 6000 series everything under that starts to fall apart within a few months of riding

  • That bike looks so sick
