if you mean the pinky orange it's the volume it can be changed with the analog stick to get in this mode press select also if you hold square and press left or right it will change the pattern at the top

hey how do u do that because i want to do a song but it repeats the beat (sorry im not english)

hold triangle down while pressing left or right on the D pad this will change the pattern for the song

you will see the pattern number at the bottom center of the screen it will change yellow when you're holding the triangle button simply press left or right to change the number you can have up to 64 patterns you can also hold the L or R keys to change screens

I'm not sure how good you are at reading English but there is a PSP rhythm manual available at their website
