how the hell can you run windows 7 with only 512mb ram ?? windows 7 needs at least 1GB , 2gb recommended :D WTF

@cymru2000 the laptop is aero compatible because it uses ati radeon xpress 200m just use the vista driver for that.

gateway desktop
1 gb ram
800 mhz pentium 4
mega slow
and mine has some of the aero themes goin on

ur not using the transparent stuff and when u dont use them it makes it look horrible but it speeds up ur comp so u cheated

@hammy6427 Thanks for your comment on such an old video, you truly honour me.
The laptop is not aero compatible.
This 2 year old video was posted to show that Win 7 is usable on lower end machines, though maybe not for "transparent stuff", however this is due to it not having a proper graphics card - not because I felt like cheating you.
I'll post a followup video at some point of my current laptop booting with Win7 - it has the transparent stuff.

@cymru2000 ok, how come u got windows 7 in 2008 coz i thought it came out in 2009 in october 22. thx 4 ur reply :)

@hammy6427 The company I work for is a large Microsoft partner, so this was basically an early Beta build ( milestone release). The Beta came out in early 2009, but performed about the same as this on boot. I never got round to testing the later builds because I ,lost the laptop :)
