We had our 8 hour repair this past Saturday for the EARS tech mentor program and my project was one of my ARP 2600s and my ARP Sequencer.

The 2600 was completely dead and so when we opened it up last Thursday we saw right away that a resistor 2 caps had blown on the power supply. It ended up being a dead short around the oscillator 3 board so we fixed that up and I soldered in some replacements and remounted the supply. Jeff helped to make sure everything was running and we booted it up for the first time in a while!

Next we looked at my arp sequencer which was stuck running at maximum speed, Jeff flipped it over and saw that there was another dead short for the negative power supply going to the clock of the sequencer so he clipped one of the decoupling caps and it started running fine (guess I should solder in a replacement when I get the chance)! We noticed that the quantized outputs were not putting out signal though so hopefully we can take a look at that this Thursday.

There's a little clip of the sequencer and the 2600 running together at the end.
