@rpcarnellWith all the hicks living in Manhattan, Manhattan IS the hicktown. And every morning I see more than 5 people going through my trash looking for aluminum cans to collect pennies for each one at the grocery store. These are not homeless people. They are people who live in my neighborhood in Brooklyn. If that is first world, then Panama City can't be too far behind. I love New York, by the way. But it's not perfect, and neither is Panama City. Utopia does not exist.

@53398 But you are saying it yourself, New York, LA, Detroit. The US has many cities. Panama City, and I forgot to say this, is the one city we have that barely comes close to being first world. Imagine Manhattan being surrounded by hick towns. Then it'd be definitely an island you won't want to leave unless you want to be away from civilization for a while.
