Go look up the word 'sustained'.
Anyway, hopefully this cop was off to pursue a boyracer who just did a burnout and gets his car crushed. I'm sick of going into town friday night in my run around car & having these scum yelling stuff because they think what they are driving is actually half decent.
Tell me, if your car is your life, how come like 70% of boyracers go for cut springs instead of proper suspension? I guess that whole dropped out at 15, paid minimum wage thing doesn't help?

Duh! Tards who ask about the markings - it's to be more obvious, make a sense of presence, day to day, the more cops you see, the less likely you'll commit a crime. Don't blame the cops for crashes - blame the fuckwit that changed the law in 1998 to say cops had to back off at high speeds; first thing we saw was - go faster, get away. When you see a newspaper article saying police/chase/crash don't blame the pigs; blame the asshole who can't drive, and the dickhead who gave them the idea

Lucky to catch one not doing a U-turn in front of a motorcycle.

My experience with the nz cops is this: Some are just normal, some have been very nice, fair, & even very lenient, while others have been utter cock-heads, who id like to meet alone in a dark alley one night armed with an automatic riffle so I can finish them.
With some; you could treat with all the respect in the world.... or just treat normally, but if you're young or if you look like you fit a certain stereotype, be careful because they might throw the book in your face.

@SugarTomAppleRoger LOL, the cops in NZ are nice as. All you have to do is be respectful. I don't know anyone who's had trouble with the NZ cops being unfair, and even when I hear someone complain about them, it's usually because our police are actually doing there job.
NZ has the best rating on the corruption index, and that is reflected by our cops. I'm 20 years old and I always feel safe when cops are around.
Just sounds like you've gotta bone to pick mate.

@SugarTomAppleRoger I've never come across any cops like that here. And I've met quite a few in my short 18 years, my mum even works with the police and all the ones I've met are very nice. Some are serious, sometimes overly serious, but most I have met are nice and joke around all the time. And even though I have only seen american cops on tv I have to say they look 10 times more crazy and trigger happy than any others I have met.
-
@SugarTomAppleRoger i strongly differ, while i have not been to the united states i can say that the new zealand police i have come across have been very understanding and use their initiative and common ssense really well, and on the complete flipside, are no where near as brutal as a lot of other police, for instance even the australian police use a lot more force than the NZ cops. and there is DEFINATELY a lot more sense of humour over here.
-
@SugarTomAppleRoger I totally dis agree you, about what you describe about NZ police, its not only because i live in Nz, but i have never face, any officer like how you have describe. Even if you are at some serious case, they greet you well, on other way, i think US cops, try to show some power, dont judge my words, its just what i think cheers

@iwg0gr1m Hahaha how terribly misinformed you are. According the the Land Transport Amendment Act, ANY loss of traction can be classed as sustained. It's used in the same context as "Joe Bloggs SUSTAINED an injury". What we see above should see the police officer lose his licence for 6 months and the vehicle impounded regardless of who owns it. That's the law. And where'd you pull 70% from by the way? Coro St? You have no idea who's driving those cars or what their background is. ignorant fool.
-
@iwg0gr1m its is rather pathetic i think theres a bit of a cool element to it because its dangerous and illegal... fail, it gives real drivers a bad name and the cops come down hard on the rest of us. Im a teenager btw and often acused of being a "boy racer"... "boy" implies imaturity and irresponsability, these are the people i cant stand. i wish they wuold piss off so real drivers who look after there cars and are condiderate of other drivers can do there thing and be left alone.
-
@SugarTomAppleRoger yea its prety brutal... have you seen there new comadore station wagons with the f**k off huge bull bars big rims and aireals everywhere. i was like holy s**t nobodys gona pull over for that. scary stuff...
Why are US cop cars made to be frightening and intimidating, where others are very ostentatious and prominent? In my town the sheriffs are Black and Gold and the cops are gunmetal gray and dark blue. And of course they're all decked out with ram bars, low profile lights, black rims and plate scanners

@legalyzefreed0m I have to agree, some do look very agressive... I think it could reflect on the crime and maybe the need to be authoritive

@legalyzefreed0m To be honest, the US police are a little more mature than their counterparts in New Zealand. The cops go into high speed chases here terrorising young people who are inexperienced drivers. Did you know that 25% of New Zealand cases where the police chase motorists involve serious car crashes? i have lived in both th US and NZ. The police are much more brutal in NZ. There is no sense of humour at all. The NZ cops treat everything like a war zone or a video game.

@SugarTomAppleRoger - I'd like to say I agree with you, but I have never seen a NZ Police officer take his gun out everything he pulls someone over, I have watch a lot of US Police programs / News, and there are a hell of alot of Police chases that end lives in the US.
What part of New Zeland were you living in to be treated like that, there is usually a reason a Police officer hard on someone.

@SugarTomAppleRoger The only "brutal" part of police chases in nz is when the losers kill themselves.
essimage 1 year ago 7
@essimage - Well as long as they only kill themselves, its one less idoit on the road.
