"Miley!" I cried out, shouting at the ceiling above me. I bit into my slightly burnt toast. "Get your ass down here!"

"Nicholas!" My mom shrieked in disapproval, her voice weary from greeting the sun too early. "Don't you speak to your younger sister like that!" She chided, her gaze cold and emotionless.

I scoffed, rolling my eyes, and muttered under my breath, "Oh please. . ."

"Excuse me, young man?" She asked as she placed a hand on her hip, her brow arching with irritation.

"Nothing, mother. I'm sorry." I lied through my teeth, a small smirk playing across my face.

"I'm here! I'm here!" Miley's attractive voice rang behind me, sending chills sailing down my spine.

I turned on my heel, my two mocha orbs immediately fixed on her breathtaking azure marbles, specks of gold infused in them, resembling the glowing sun. Her messy auburn waves fell past her bare shoulders, and the curvatures of her body as her lean, long legs were accentuated by the denim romper that clung onto her body.

"What are you looking at me like that for, you creep?" She said, furrowing her eyebrows together.

Clicking my tongue against the roof of my mouth, I teased, "Miles, do you want to ride the bus to school today?"

The expression on her face immediately softened, a sweet, angelic smile gliding across her face. However, her eyes had gleams of malice as she gritted through her teeth, "Did I mention you are the bestest brother in the world?"

I scoffed, clearly not convinced, "Alright, I'll take it although bestest in not a word, Miles." Chuckling, I beckoned, "Let's go." Grabbing the car keys, I headed out the door, Miley trailing not for behind me. Swiveling my gaze, I caught a glimpse of her kissing our mom goodbye, an endearing smile on her face. Oh, how I wished for those lips to meet mine. . .

Truth is, Miley isn't my real sister. In an average, twelve babies are switched a year; she was one of them.

She looked nothing like any of us in the family. While enticing chocolate orbs and curly brown hair were dominant in our genes, Miley possessed piercing oceanic orbs and striking reddish brown waves that reminded you of the crisp, alluring autumn weather.

I had always wondered why she was so different from us. . .from me, but it all fit together like a perfect puzzle when I found out four years ago—I was thirteen.

My parents aren't aware of my knowledge, and they also don't know I'm shamefully in with Miley.

Although we're constantly teasing and bickering at each other, Miley and I have a really intimate bond. Whenever her heart is heavy with worries and any sorrows, I'm the first one she seeks, longing for my shoulder to cry on. We both hold each others' darkest secrets, carrying the burden together. Everything about her just captivates my heart, from her flawless physique to her colorful heart that leaves me speechless. . .

But before you accuse me of someone who has no morals, first off, we are not related by blood whatsoever. Plus, I don't have any hopes for us; it would be beyond reason.

I wouldn't dare break her frail, delicate heart. I would not be able to look into her enthralling deep marine marbles the same way after shattering the beautiful reflection of her supposed life. It would be something ruthless and to confess my love for her would be something. . .impossible.
