Oh my! Just googled it and sure enough! Wow! This is disturbing to say the least.Municipalities are filtering it out from town water supplies? Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

What more detail do you need? I built several fine from this video alone. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to make one. Who cares if it is out of date? What, do you have robots catching your rain and transporting into the garden for you?

Or do you mean the Lowes part numbers are out of date? That is probably true.

Not intentional. Was only added to show a friend (for temporary), forgot about it and then got a message from the nephew of the lady featured in the piece loving it, so I kept it up. If HGTV or Paul James wanted it down, they'd have had YouTube remove it. It was posted prior to any message from Youtube regarding copyrighted videos (look at the post date) You shouldn't make false accusations. If someone with authority asked me to remove it, I would and quite easily.

Omg. You people are over overreacting do you have aney idea how much radiation and led is naturaly in our drinking water.Radiation and led is naturaly in the ground way befor fukashima look it up on line or get your soil tested . Jjust get a filtration system for your rain barrles and it will be fin. You breath in more chemicals then you intake in your water. Our drinking water is much safer then more foods that we eat packed with chemicals even natural foods not just artificial foods.

Where do you find the barrels that don't cost an arm and leg.

Well, here's an idea for you, don't drill a hole for the funnel. Use a male adaptor to screw it into one of the bung holes. Drill a hole for the faucet, but use a bulk head fitting to install the faucet. Don't use a garden faucet, use a 1/4 turn ball valve. A hose will screw onto it same as the garden faucet, but the flow will be twice as much. For overflow, use a "t" fitting on the intake funnel. Now your barrel can completely fill up, and you only drilled one hole.
