Tetris Battle

Hi everyone,

I present, my latest creation, "Tetris Battle". This game was developped using the XNA framework. Development took about 3 months, and was done during my spare time.

In this video you can see two computers go against each other in battle mode. I could only record 30 seconds at a time, so I spliced together a few clips for your enjoyment.

I've always wanted to make a computer AI that plays Tetris, so why not create a complete Tetris game just the way I like it? Although the AI is far from perfect it still beats me 95% of the time.

Other than that, the game features 4 game modes; Battle, Marathon, Sprint and Ultra. COOP mode is another feature, which is basically two players in the same field alternatively placing a piece. There's also an option of having 1 preview for both players, this is quite difficult for those of you used to looking at the preview before placing your piece.

I might be making an update to this game in the near future. I found a few bugs related to the AI and to analog controllers. And if I ever find the time, I might make the game graphics scalable to play on widescreen monitors/TVs.

I'm not to hot about the texture you chose for the tetrads, I'm used to glossy, like nes tetris.
