Sorosh Tavakoli, President & CEO of Videoplaza, expects the 30 second or 15 second spot advertisement to be the mainstay of free Connected TV services as advertisers back a reliable, 'lowest common denominator' for online video on different platforms. He believes online video will see the same 50/50 split between paid and free content enjoyed in traditional TV, with the 'freemium' model of engaging and then upselling consumers being the best route to success.
