@MuHaMaat it would be hard b/c you dont have his arm across the center line of your body (think your belly button)

I learned that same sweep as a failed armbar attempt. You go for the Arm and the top guy rolls his head so you sweep him.

i always have trouble with the scissor sweep, this seems like a good alternative.

Me too, but if you think of competition rules getting a sweep and a mount gives you a great advantage and then you can go for the armbar or a choke. If you just go for the armbar and he escapes you won`t get those points.
