Hear ye, Hear ye. Welcome to another episode of Head Shots. I'm Chris Lucky. And I have a very special guest with me today. The one and only, Jud Swift. Say hey to the kids, Judd.
Hail, citizens of Albion. What's up guys?
On today's episode of Head Shot, we'll be talking about the new and improved co-op in Fable three. One of the first things I like to do when I jump into a co-op game with a new player is to go ahead and head on over to the local smithee in town and find out which legendary weapons are on the counter. 'Cause Chris will have legendary weapons unique to his world, and same will be true for my world. It's a great way to go and see what's kind of been created in your buddy world.
And there are fifty in all, I believe. For the achievement you can go around and make sure you..
Collect them all.
Guns, guns. We need a lot of guns and make sure you get them all. Yeah. Cause that's the only way you're going to get them, quite frankly. So, take a look at that.
It's a fun way to build your arsenal. It really is. It really is and that's one of the best parts of Fable 3. Now with weapons and combat in mind, I really had a blast getting in there and having an extra sword arm in the fight.
Yeah. It really helps to tear your the way through a level when you got a buddy because I mean, you have someone covering your back. And you have a variety of different attacks hitting the enemy at the same time. I like pistols. I've always liked the pistols, so I would pepper an enemy from a distance and lock in would get in close with a sledge hammer.
It was nice. The hammer brothers if you will. You will both wielding giant hammers, yes.
That's right. Bash brother's back in action.
You will see the little A little more glowing than mine.
Well you know what can I say. I do have a glow. But quite frankly, the combat strategy really gets taken to the next level in a co-op game compared to the single player experience, and that's really evident. As soon as you get in there, you're going to notice the changes. And it's not so much easier, as much as you have a more, sort of artistic flow of the combat. And I really enjoyed rushing in with an area of effects spell , while I let my homie do his own thing.
Yeah, it really speeds up the pace of combat. I mean I'm kind of an ADD gamer, so I like the way you could run up on a hoard of en emies and start slaying them. And by the time you get whittled and down and Chris was taking care of the last ones I could already be checking out a treasure chest. Exactly. And as you guys well know, anytime that you're opening a chest or uncovering a dig spot. If you get attacked the animation gets interrupted and you're going to have to do it all over again. So it's really not effective to do does in combat situations until... Until you got your buddy covering your back, you know.
It helps things out. It really speeds up things. You really feel like your plowing through some of the parts of the game where, you know, it's like a lot of enemy encounters and a lot of exploration. And it even speeds up the exploration because, you know, you and your buddy can choose different routes and say "I'll check out this way" and check that way see if there's any keys down there.
