I was surprised to find that this awesome song was not on youtube yet. it's one of my favourite tracks off the seminal album "Die grüne Reise" (aka "The Green Journey") by A.R. & Machines, brainchild and solo project of Achim Reichel. the song continues the theme started in the track "Globus".

@daupike thanks! yeah, this album really takes the mind on a sonic journey, as the title promises :) there was a lot of great stuff in early kraut, i'd recommend also checking out band like ash ra tempel, guru guru, amon düül II, can, agitation free... well, the list could go on and on :D

i like achim reichel's stuff, i really do. however, i just don't think this stands up against stuff from bands such as Can, Xhol, Faust, Neu!, early Kraftwerk, ash ra tempel, popol vuh etc. it's, well, too poppy in bits. i wasn't surprised to hear MR AR had been a member of the rattles.

as i said, i like it, maybe more so since just sitting listening to this track. I remember tho, the complete disappointment after hearing Echo for the first time; I'd tried for months to get a hold. then........
