  • WTO=IOM=International Organization of Motherfuckers

  • @AfroPlato bring down trade barriers..rich corporations flood into less developed areas and flood the market with products that the local companies cannot compete with. money earned by these corporations ultimately is sent back to the corporation(not spent on development of the area).

so..large corporations get a bigger market base and cheap raw materials..while the local economy earns little from raw materials as that is the only thing that they have that can 'compete' with the big boys

  • So the large corporations took advantage of rescinding of tariff restrictions and quotas, etc, leading to their growth while the weak domestic industries didn't benefit either? I was taught that the WTO was made to help producers of goods and services and exporters and importer conduct their business. They set up legal ground rules for international commerce and negotiate trade disputes among nations. Hmm, someone let me know what's going on.

    AP

  • @kookykoala333 3rd world country govt are the ppl to be blamed here. What are they doing? Nothing.

  • Corporations are the most evil things in the world. And the WTO is one of the worst corporations. They exploit 3rd world countries while shoving the UN out of the way. Bunch of assholes

  • some of the facts were embellished but the basic idea was pretty intact.

  • Developing countries have also suffered economically due to WTO in that they are hindered from devising policies to encourage development by discouraging and banning of unfair trade practices.

  • The WTO has served the interests of the rich countries while exploiting the poor and developing countries. Policies formulation are influenced by the rich nations and then imposed on developing countries that lack financial support to counter some of the unfavorable practices of the WTO.

  • netherland is where the real leaders of the world are, the oligarchs.

  • Zeitgeist has alot of fallacies, while it talks about the banking system and NWO truthfully it's talks on religion is either based on disinformation or lies.
