  • It sure is dread66mon. Saw him play recently, excellent piper.

Marchblur, the pipes in this clip are not bagpipes but I will add some tags.

  • This video was lifted from the Salt Lake Piping Club's site. We're all about sharing and furthering the tradition - but next time...please ASK first. Thanks.

  • Mattdu68 - David's version of Road to Lisdoonvarna is a reel, very different from the jig that most people associate with this tune name.

corkpipersclub - seriously? The uilleann pipes are *the* bagpipes!

  • hahaha really??

  • I listened to some version of that tune (road to Lisdoonvarna) after having listened to this one, mostly on tin whistles..David and/or the fact of playing it on the pipes gives to it a totally different mood from what I heard on other versions...something profondly uplifting...not just the 'happy tune', but with a little taste of nostalgia or something..if I only could translate emotions into words :) cheers

  • Well, technically they *are* one form of bagpipes. Not all bagpipes are Scottish highland pipes. Uilleann pipes do have a bag, and pipes, so... :)

  • Wow - his playing is like honey.

  • Could you put "bagpipe" tag on this, please? More people should see David Power.
