The popular poem 'Twas The Night Before Christmas was originally published under the title A Visit From St. Nicholas. It has remained popular for more generations than I can count. It always seems to bring out the child in us each and every Christmas Eve it is read. I look forward to it. It has become a tradition in many homes throughout the world where Christmas is celebrated.

There are several books available today with modern or familiar illustrations. The ones included here are from an old book printed in 1912. The Santa in this presentation looks like "a jolly old elf." I love this old book and the old illustrations which seem to match the era in which it was written.
