@MsNowaynoway 1. Jimmy the pretender did not write working class man, that was not even written by an aussie, 2. Claiming to be a war vet could mean anything, you are not mentioning that you were ever on the front line or anything like that. The status "war vet" does not make you a hero. 3. Working is the way in todays society we have been conditioned to survive, this does not make you special im sure we all do it, personally i would rather be out fishing myself, 4. Despite that fact, being a war vet, a working class man and at times unshaven, i identify with all Jimmy's songs. Maybe you should go and listen to the wallflowers (i checked your profile). @injaqenwetrust - ridiculous comment. Don Walker wrote Khe Sahn - all five of them wrote the songs and they all wrote about things they and their friends and relatives experienced, Ian Moss never went to Bow River but his brother did. Did Bruce Springsteen go to Vietnam? Did Jimmy Cliff?
