@sqekcx Stating my opinion as a fact was misleading, and I apologize. The truth is, nearly everything in gymnastics is in the eye of the beholder. I preferred Sidorova's routine, you preferred Ross's. They are close enough in execution that either of us could be "right"-but then I don't really think there usually is a "right" in women's gymnastics. I just felt Sidorova didn't get the recognition she deserved at this competition.

@sqekcx Please. Now you're just grasping at straws and throwing out insults. Are you saying that my saying she is not "chucking" somehow means I know nothing about gymnastics? Please, give me a universally accepted definition of the word "chucking" as it pertains to gymnastics. And, please, give me specific examples of my "lack of knowledge about gymnastics." In addition, look at what you're saying and realize you're also insulting yourself.

Whether she chucked it or not, her double pike was as bad as everyone else. And she did chuck it.
After looking at both routines a few times, I think both routines were about as unclean as each other, though Sidorova's turn-leap combo looked a little iffy, which could result in a loss of 0.5 if the judges were harsh I can't give you an accurate score though because I'm not a judge, but you are not one either as your lack of knowledge about gymnastics is so apparent.

@sqekcx Actually, I didn't. I said "IF she's chucking", not "she's chucking." Overall, Sidorova's routine was better. You have to look at the whole, not just individual parts.

You finally admit she was chucking it. And no, she's not doing it better than most people. It's just as bad. And Ross had a better dismount anyway. You didn't really have a point. It was invalid.

@sqekcx It's more hit than miss. Again, you fail to see my point. Nearly everyone who throws this dismount is chucking it. If she's chucking it, she's still doing it better than most of them.

This skill is hit and miss for her. The one in all-around was good, but the one in finals was just as bad as this one. She was lacking in technique. She threw her body back and just flipped till her body met the ground.
