The gel seat looks black/dark (one colour) at the R, while the normal seat of the R has two colours (grey and darkgrey) - for me it looks like one colour ... may be due to the light-conditiones.

I think the clocks were on about 557 or something around there, definitely due its first service... It was stunning, the sound was intoxicating, the speed... I was stunned at how easy it was! lol Bet you're looking forward to it in Jan! I can't get mine for a couple of months, so I'm looking at mid-next year I think, Can't decide whether the 'R' is worth the extra cash over the standard triple?

Thats funny, how many miles has it done now? It only had a 159 or so when I took her out.
I had the Standard triple on order since Feb 08 then changed my order to the R a few months ago. I have ordered the orange one that should be arriving in Jan 09

Why the fuck the engineers didn't solve the whistling issue???? wwiiiiiiuuuuu, wwwwiiiiiiiiuuuuuuuuu, wiiiiiiiiiuuuuu, ALL THE TIME!! Is the only reason why I don't buy it, because of the stupid horrible and constant whistling!

@chispygato Eh? Thats like saying that you don't like a Ducati as it sounds like a tractor... Its just the way its made.
It's the Triple sound, its part of the character. Love it of loath it, its part of its individual character. I personally love the sound. ;-p

I believe that this was just the standard seat, The R has a new cover but standard insides....
I have never tried the gel seat....
