A small group of us single-payer supporters gathered, where a large group of right-winged anti-healthcare people were having a demonstration, on why they feel government healthcare is bad.

One right-winged nut even calls President Obama a racist! This is some good video!!! We ruffled their feathers for sure. This was in front of Congressman Gary Peters office in Troy, MI on Aug. 6, 2009.

  • socialist bastard

  • Obama was elected as our President. I didn't go around and disgrace myself or President Bush while he was our President for 8 years. Newt Gingrich's group called me the day after election day and the Republican National Committee called soon after repeatedly asking for any amount of money. The actions of the disrupters is a disgrace.

  • Anyone who thinks race matters is a racist and Obama thinks race matters thus he is a racist. Couldnt be more simple. I am also tired of people stereotying white people as racist I am sick and tired of the racism towards white people.

  • kinda sad that americans associate socialism as nazism, poor ignorant fools....

  • I can totally understand your point. However the kind of healthcare I get for having Cebral Palsy is so unsatisfactory. I would not wish it or recommended it to anyone.

I am on SSI, Medicare and Medicaid. The same as seniors and I get Pakastani doctors and Indian doctors that barely speak english, that refuse me due to disability or they don't want the government paperwork.

Is that the kind of healthcare you want? What the news should report, is people with the healthcare.

  • Doesn't mean that they aren't being stirred into action by the lies and deception of the insurance companies and the GOP. It doesn't mean that they are right, or that they represent the majority of Americans. It just means that they are gullible enough to believe what those with a conflict of interest tell them to believe.

  • can you pay to have private police? Can you afford to have private firemen? Can you afford to have a private road just for you? No? Like so many things healthcare is something we will all need at some point and affects us all. This is why we have taxes and public services. That's the point.

  • "I totally agree if you antagonize a cop you deserve to get arrested. There is a thing cops are supposed to do thats called civic duty. Keep the peace"

Antagonizing 'cops' who are in your house without a warrant is not against the law. The Charges were dropped against Gates because the was no case. Whatever YOU might agree with does not make it LAW. Police are there to uphold the law and not arrest people because they don't like them (notice I didn't even mention race).

  • I hear what he said, but what I wonder is what was said from the cut view. I hear "you must be a racist cut your hair" Which I believe is a skin head comment. "Then he said what do I stand for? You do not know me." I get where he was meaning he was bringing up old old issues, when Obama mentioned race.

Is it a smart thing to say no he could have said it better in a clearer message.

  • He clearly called the President a Racist. The man with the bull horn represented the group. My grandmother use to say, Tell me who you are with and I will tell you who you are.
