I just bought my first metal detector. I live just outside NYC in the suburbs where a lot of colonial villages use to be. Im hoeping to go into the woods and see what I can find. I already know a few abandoned structures deep in the woods. Hoping to find some colonial-era coins
Well done video you guys. Great info for the new detectorist. Just hope new detectorists don't use small shovels in parks...that wasn't made clear where to use a shovel and where not to.
For the previous question about who to ask permission in a park...either ask at the entry point of the park if it is manned booth or call the local parks in your phone book to ask to speak to the city, county, state parks manager for that park(s).
