  • @jmcblink ... "you guys need our food, if anything. cant even get a decent loaf of bread or even a bagel..." lol, you're joking, correct? actually, if i want good bread i'll go to a french bakery. i don't know from where you get the idea that good bread comes from up north. and bagels? we don't eat many bagels or whatever else you call bread, we're more than happy with biscuits and cornbread.

and i'm sure we could find a way of living without northern migrants.

  • Man reading these comments it seems like the northerners are the ones who are arrogant and don't want THEIR culture and traditions ruined...even though they are the ones that CHOSE to live in a southern city. Northerners have no idea what our culture is about. Why do you think we fly the bars and stars? Not because we hate black people idiots it's because we are proud to live in such a charming culture that is the south.

  • You poeple are fuccin crazy...who gives a fucc where you from...people are people...you eat, shyt and sleep like everybody else..Im from the south(GA) but ive been all over...the ability to survive is what its about...and for those that dont know sweat tea is the shyt....

  • @98bigbutt I think that is a little unfair. All that stuff is a part of our history, certainly Jim Crow, but while some of us were holding on to negative things like that, others of us were struggling against them.

  • It's funny that these white North Carolinians could talk their preserved heritage. Heritage like slavery,Jim Crow, lynching blacks and the KKK.

  • I've been to North and South Carolina and that Southern accent like that old lady with the striped shirt is commonly sounded.

  • Don't lose the food!

  • @swordofdixie: Can I he'p if if I was born on the wrong side of the Mason-DIxon line?

  • North Carolina has the best accents in the world. Born and raised. The Blue Ridge Mountains are home. :) Don't even notice the accent anymore...
