Had the same problem!. the eject trick worked for me to. eject the disc both before test cycle AND the update :)

it seems like its updated but when you try to play a recen game it wont work, it will be the same, as i know, its an internal problem that message and you should fix that in order to do the update.

when it says to run the test cycle take out the dvd and then do it... same with when it says to update, take out the dvd. it will work trust me

needs to be DVD, not a CD.
i suggest getting a DVD+RW, as you can reuse them. good for newbies like you, and me for when ya make mistakes.

hi there i need help plz ASAP i have a ntcs wii i copyed the iso directely to the cd i filechop it 2 the update is 1.9 and still giting an error about the connection why is this can any 1 help me plz is there any thing that i could do to update my wiikey people for god sake i need help i realy need help i wanna play games like every one plz help me remember your self when you where like this \ pleas help HELP

yo i got wiikey and it loads all my other burnt and original games except origin brawl. any help? im guessin that since brawl spins the fastest the wiikey forces it to spin 6x, can i take that off and let the wii spin at watever speed it wants?

you have to update to 1.9s and use the config disc 1.4 and set speed to 4x and then if it doest work ur disc is screwed so buy a cheap dual layer dvd+ and burn ssbb

still you have to update to 1.9s and set speed to 4x on 1.4 config disc and if it still dosent work then your original is bad soo rubb it with alcohol and clean your wii drive somehow use disc with brushes and then if it dosent burn a homebrew one from online get a cheap dual dvd +

found out u have to patch game by usin trucha to exract main.dol and patchin 001 error wid wiip tool all found at tehskeen or gbatemp works flawlessly with verbitam dual layer -
