This rare music video is for the movie 2010, and features appropriatley enough the theme. Also known as "Also Sprach Zarathustra" or the "Theme from 2001". This version is played by Andy Summers,former guitarist for the Police. The movie 2010 is the sequel to Stanley Kurbrick and Arthur C. Clarke 's 2001:A Space Odyessy.

This video gives away too much of the film's story and special effects. Glad I didn't see it before seeing the film in 1985. Also (and I'm not criticising Andy Summers here) it seems a bit strange that this kind of music would be used to promote the film instead of the original orchestral version. I'm just not sure who the target audience was intended to be.

This video was the trailer of 2010: The Year we make contact, here in Mexico, until then I had never heard talk of 2001: A Space Odyssey nor of Arthur C. Clarke, I was hooked on the intant and I begged my father to take me to the theater to see the movie:)
