yes that is a marron, yes there is a diference between marron and yabbies, no it is not lobsters inbred cousin, they are freshwater crayfish, crawddad? ignorant yank more like it.Just wondering if vid poster let it go or cooked it up? since you from netherlands i assume you didnt get a license so i hope you let it go. Good sized one anyway, hopefully i'll get a few that size this season. And yes, they are delicous

@carebearnmbr46 i think yabbies are a pest where marron are native. marron is a fresh water crayfish, and they will walk from farmers dams to nearby creeks and brooks

Well, I am far from an expert, but the Marron have longish/slender claws + are usually quite a lot bigger, whereas Yabbies are smaller and have claws that are more rounded. I have never seen a crawdad though (other than on pictures), so I wouldn't be able to tell you anything about it...
