I sure have! Although the side rails on new metroid are only 2" long and have lots of screw holes going through them, so there isn't much material to remove.

this is probable a dumb question but have you pocketed the side rails?

Thanks for the kind words! Metroid is indeed mine, but the version seen in the video was the first revision, and was also Metroid's first fight. As you can see, I was having trouble controlling it since it was my first time driving it.
The new version of Metroid packs about 3X more kinetic energy (longer drum, larger teeth, over 2X more RPM). Now if I could just get it underweight! Gotta order some 1/32 CF for top and bottom plates! Might need to replace the 1/4" CF side rails with 1/8". :(

is Metroid yours, if so i just want to say you make some of the most beautifully crafted robots i've ever seen like Stinkoman K and Utopia they just look so perfect and impressive
