I don't think Notre Dame ever beat FSU again after this game. FSU leads the series, however, if I could, I would trade all those wins away to have gotten a win in the one that mattered in 1993. I would have LOVED to have beaten Notre Dame here in South Bend when it was #1 vs #2.... and it almost happened. Good game though.

Notre Dame's offensive line handled your vaunted D the whole day. Had the irish stopped this play it would have been a 14pt victory, and would have resulted in the Irish winning the title. This touchdown actually won the national title for the Noles in my opinion......who I will admit was a very very talented team.

Dude..this touchdown was a fluke. Irish offensive line handled your vaunted D all day long. Had the pollsters seen a 14pt defeat they would have chosen the irish. This tuddy won you the national title.

I would admit that FSU had more talent on the field, but Notre Dame was the better TEAM that day. Prior to the game, Charlie Ward said in SI that he was not going there for a history lesson. He just ended up being a part of Irish history.

in todays nfl, ward would have at least gotten a shot.. back in 90s , NFL was hung up on guys being certain size. but now , with qbs like brees, pennington succeeding, he would have gotten a chance

I'm sorry. Was that a case of too little, too late. Bowden got out coached by Holtz, but that is an old story.
