Mayor Barrett needs advice from Walker and the Republicans about as much as the ocean needs someone to add salt to it.

This is a brilliant ad because it is all about Barrett's leadership, courage, and character. These are exactly the things we need in our elected officials.

I think the ad is tasteful and not exploitive at all. It is simply his wife telling the story of that night at State Fair Park when her husband sacrificed his personal safety to do the right thing.

I, for one, am glad this ad is being run. I think it shows Tom Barrett's character as a stand up guy who is not afraid to intervene when he sees something is not right...even if that means he will take a beating for it...The same could be said in the political arena.

Why are you running this ad?

I'm a Scott Walker supporter, but I have praised you in the past during your campaign for not using this terrible event for political gain.

Please stop running this ad. Playing the pity card isn't the right thing to do, and you know it.

I'm sorry for what happened on that horrible day. I prayed for you. While we differ in our political ideology, I certainly don't wish ill will on you.

You shouldn't be using this for political gain.
