Sounds like my childhood. I was the only kid in my preschool that had two birthdays and Christmases. My mother was always drunk and abusive and my dad moved away.

I don't remember ever being innocent and naive. I've always had to have my own back. And to the "stuckinmyheadforever" person, the scars are there but I've suppressed it all to the point that I just don't give a shit.

I hope to god that most of the listeners don't understand the true meaning. Because no child should have to go through what so many children already have. I agree with every word of his except the " I'm far to old to care about that now" because the scars stay forever, no matter how hard we try to push them away they become a part of who we are.
