What is The Atheist Experience?

The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas, geared at an atheist and non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin (ACA), a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.

@yatter1 Only helps people that can't help themselves. It creates a delusion that something/someone is going to help you which in turn makes them feel better. Honestly, people just need to give more credit to themselves. Every situation can be handled by man not god.

@MiketheAwesome100 really? when people kill gays or non-virgins because their holy books its not because of religion? when people use faith healing because their holy book says that god will heal them if they ask is not because of religion?

@MiketheAwesome100 and a muslim who blows himself up in the name of his god to kill innocent people has nothing to do with religion at all? people kill people because they think thats what their religion wants. therefore, religion indirectly kills people. if there was no religion, people wouldnt kill others in the name of their religion.

Technically I'm still in the evangelic lutheran church, but I've always been an atheist. It's not a big deal here in Northern Europe if you're in the church, my whole class is but I know for a fact that they're also all atheists.

It's like an obvious thing that you're named in a church, but no one tells you what to believe in.

This coming from a Finnish atheist. Religion just simply doesn't matter in this country, because no one forces anything on anyone :)
