San Francisco Chinatown is the largest Chinatown outside of Asia as well as the oldest Chinatown in North America. It is one of the top tourist attractions in San Francisco. Filmed on Stockton Street October 10, 2009.

  • BTW, great video. I like how you kept the actual audio to capture all the sounds and voices instead of adding music. Very sharp recording from sounds even across the street!

  • If you go to Chinatown, don't just go on the tourist streets. You will get a lot more from your visit if you visit some of the side streets. I believe that it's the most authentic Chinatown. :-)

  • Early morning walk along Stockton street is great for sampling dim sum on the go from all the food shops along the way. (And fun to play "Bizarre Foods" with some of the stuff served.)  The roast duck is cheaper than here in Hawaii and the variety of dim sum in S.F. is far wider. Another "Chinatown" like street to visit and eat along is Clement Street.
