  • @LavenderDragonLick Yeah, sweat might be salty and not damage it blah blah blah, but it can trigger the Water Damage Indicators, pointing that the device got wet, when it didnt, a stupid way to void your warranty...

  • @LavenderDragonLick

Salt water has higher conductivity than fresh water. Check your facts.

  • i know very sweaty people with iphones. so apple is just taking the mick.

  • @reynex90 sweat is salt water. salt water doesn't shut down your services as quick as normal water. so one drop of sweat will NOT damage it.

  • 1 person was a "water damaged" iphone.

  • places such as swimming pools, the gym, or placing it on the vanity in you're bathroom while you shower.. no matter which way you look at it water is not good for electronics so if you get even a drop of water on it and something goes bad chances are that its a cause of water damage. it only takes one drop of sweat to shut the whole thing down...

  • @studio32000 you may have fixed it but when you do that you void your warranty cuz potentially you could wreck other things, most electronic devices have sort of a "trip wire" an indicator that allows phone manufacturers/service techs to see if the customer has attempted to tamper with the product. in most cases you won't even notice the "trip wire" and may think you have them fooled...

my next beef with this story is if you know these indicators can change so easily then just don't bring it

  • what about condensation?

  • apple are con-artists they prob made it like that on purpose
