Impala SS is actually OVER 4200lbs..

Plus, it has very tall 3.08 axle, and a tight converter. They're dogs out of the hole.

This would be more fair if you put 4 x 200+ lb. guys in the mustang, and then put the same gears and tranny in the Impala that the mustang had, plus, the LT4 conversion on the Impala to make the motor equivalent to what the Mustang came with (a performance motor, NOT a luxury car motor).

The SS has EXACTLY the same drivetrain as Caprice, Caddy, Roadmaster, etc.

@oldlugs u are right about that. displacement has a lot to do with that. considering the ls1 350 only made 350 horsepower with much more cubes. FORD WIN LOL. i wanted that mustang so bad a couple years ago. then the taurus sho came out and pissed me off. i could not help but wonder why did ford not include such technology into their mustang. but they have made up for it now a days. ANY CAR CAN BE BEATEN IF THE FUNDS ARE THERE. but two american muscle cars together is just beautiful in itself.
